Frequently asked questions
How is a backup different from cloud sync?
With cloud sync, a file that is deleted or encrypted on your computer is also deleted or encrypted in the cloud. A backup keeps earlier versions of files, so you can restore data as it was before a failure or attack.
Will it always be possible to recover deleted files?
Not always. The less the drive is used after the loss, the higher the chance of recovering files. It is better to install the recovery software on a different drive than the one you are recovering from.
